Summer Wishlist

1. Harness
Jakimac Harness (@NastyGal)
After a little bit of looking around, this one would be my first choice. Expensive, but rather classy, not one of those that makes people wonder what kinda things is the harness owner into. If only the dress was still available, as the two go together perfectly, but I just couldn’t find it anywhere.

Everyday Purse:

Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAC
Is it too late to jump on the Morning After Clutch bandwagon? There is a line between classic and being played out and I’m still contemplating which category this bag falls under.
There aren’t any Rebecca Minkoff stores in London, (some department stores might carry the brand, but I’m yet to experience that first hand) so they’re not as wildly popular here, but I still spot them in the crowd every now and then..
The variety of colors is amazing though, so always have been tempted either way.

well, they don’t have to cost 300Euros, any similar half frame cateye styles would do

Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette
Yep, a bit late to this party. Vice 3 is sold out everywhere and at this time can be only purchased at inflated prices on ebay where there’s always a risk of getting a fake. Vice 4 doesn’t look as interesting to me..

Speaking of palettes..
Mac Navy Times Nine

I saw this palette in store recently and thought it was cute. Each eyeshadow is alot smaller than mac standard sized pot, but still, 9 colors for £25 seems like a good deal. Maybe not perfect for me personally, because I already own 3 shades from this one.. (Club, Black Tied and Copper Plate) but seems like the remaining 6 are exclusive to the palette

It’s not that I want new sandals, I actually *need* new sandals. I only have one pair which is in presentable condition and doesn’t give me blisters atm, so in desperate need of something more walkable.. My finds:

Ash Rocking
Ash Pearl

Jeffrey Campbell Clerval
Interesting, but a little excessive..+those zippers would probably cut into skin and hurt like hell

Jeffrey Campbell Nashua
Okay no lol

Regret missing out on these Jeffrey Campbells though

Jeffrey Campbell Kilacky

Sunglasses Haul

So recently I did something pretty dumb.. I got a bunch of sunglasses off ebay..
I thought I was getting a good deal, as I recognized a few models from Topshop, except they were much cheaper.. Topshop shades are around £14-17 and on ebay you can find them for something around $7-9..
So at first I felt stupid about overpaying at topshop.. but that only lasted until they arrived.. the build quality is pretty terrible on them all, though some of them are better than others..

the ones above I actually like, although they have a slight symmetry problem, like most of them anyways, but I really like how huge they are. The more of my face is covered up the better.

These are also a bit out there.. the shot in front of the window doesn’t do them justice though..

Love those blue lenses

These are a knockoff of Tom Ford ‘Nastasya’.
I’m generally against knockoffs and I actually really wanted them back in the day, but I couldn’t find them in any eu based store and besides they’re like $380.. which is way above my comfortable price range.. since sunglasses trends come and go really fast, I’m not sure if it’s wise to invest this much into one pair of sunglasses..
Oh and they are the shades that Miley Cyrus was wearing in one of her videos. Basically ruins them for me.

Anyways, as for the knockoff ones, somehow they just don’t sit well on my face, which is weird because most cat eye models will look good on me. So at the end of the day, I’m glad I didn’t get them.

And these are just the worst.. frame is very flimsy and not as big as I was hoping.. the sellers just use random bloggers’ pictures in their listings which may or may not represent the exact model they’re selling.
+ on top of it all, one of the lenses is noticeably smaller than the other.. fabulous.

lol.. I’m looking for glasses frames that wouldn’t look embarrassing on me, but these ones aren’t them.

These ones are from River Island. I’ve never had white frame shades before, so decided to try out something new..

And these are just really cute (Cat Eye shades from Asos)

April Randomness Post

Last month has been busy, stressful, whatever.. But I managed to do a bit of fun stuff in between..
So I got to visit Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty exhibition in Victoria and Albert museum, which was just an incredible experience.
Photography was not allowed so all I brought home with me were crappy candidly shot cell phone pix, which don’t even remotely do it all justice.. you just have to see it all in person. If it wasn’t for the fuss of having to book the tickets way in advance, I’d love to go again.
So if you’re in London between now and August 2, this is a must see. Here are a few of my crappy cell phone pictures anyways

My Trip to Harrods

Harrods is an upscale department store where you can find everything and anything ranging from expensive to outrageously overpriced. Of course I don’t really do any actual shopping there. To me, Harrods is like a recreational venue where you can experience a glimpse of that lifestyle which top 1% with 40% of all the world’s money have. And also a chance to see the coveted designer stuff up close..

McQueen knucklebox clutches Harrods

So I got to see some McQueen knucklebox clutches and they weren’t behind glass. Still a note on the table saying you can look but better not touch..
My fav is the one sitting in fishtank with the chestnuts. Looked it up later:
It also comes in black with gold hardware and in white with silver hardware

I’m pretty sure I’ll never have it, but still, adorable!

Chanel boy flap bags:
chanel boy flap bags yellow orange
Well, tbh I never really understood that whole Chanel flap bag cult.. afterall it’s just a black leather bag.. Sure, someone could argue it’s more than a bag it’s an iconic status symbol, or whatever. But the truth is, anyone could save up for a chanel if they were persistent enough. If you save $3 per day for 4.5 years, the medium bag could be yours and if you were going for a mini, it would be even sooner than that. But the bag won’t buy you the lifestyle it is associated with, so what’s the point of having that symbol without the status really. They’re pretty to look at, but I’m so glad I can easily imagine my life without one.

(apologies for the crappy cell phone pix)

And Balenciaga:

Didn’t care for it at first, but now I’m actually liking that metal edges look, especially on the black one.
